City Tours
In 1992 the historical centre of Prague covering an area of 866 hectares was listed in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register.
Our standard city tours are listed in this section. Please note that these are just the most common alternatives. We are able to arrange many more or potentially design various combinations of the listed items in all world languages.
STANDARD CITY TOUR
First experience with Old Prague atmosphere. Half or full day guided walk through the historical Prague usually includes the Prague Castle, Royal Route, Lesser Town, Charles Bridge, Jewish Quarter, Old Town Square, Powder Tower and of course Wenceslas Square.
During the walk the guide provides general information about the most important sights that the clients can later explore individually or will be included in one of the specialised tours described later. The standard city tour does not usually include any entrances.
PRAGUE CASTLE TOUR
This specialised guided walk provides deeper acquaintance with the Prague Castle. Prague Castle is the most popular and visited sight in Prague. The clients will admire The Old Royal Palace, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George Basilica and the picturesque Golden Lane (with Daliborka Tower) with very small and narrow houses where the famous Jewish writer Franz Kafka lived, Prague Castle Picture Gallery, Loreta and Strahov Monastery. You can choose between standard Prague Castle tour or Prague Castle tour in deep.
JEWISH TOWN TOUR
For centuries the real heart of the Old Town, the Jewish Quarter has a remarkable history - the Old Cemetery, the synagogues, Golem. Prague's former Jewish ghetto is located in the Old Town within Kaprova, Dlouha and Kozi streets. The Nazis wiped out the Jewish community during World War II.
The standard Jewish Town tour includes entries to the Maisel, Spanish, Pinkas Synagogues than to the Old Jewish Cemetery (established in the first half of the 15th century contains more than 12 000 tombstones), Klausen Synagogue and to the Jewish Museum with probably the richest collection of 40.000 items – one of the first museum of this kind in the world. You can visit separately the Old-New Synagogue from early Gothic period.
PRAGUE ARCHITECTURE TOUR
Art tour for specialists or Art schools. Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Neo-classical up to Secession-Art Nouveau and Cubism. You will appreciate Prague's unique architectural heritage in deep during this pleasant city walk. All the principal styles of European architecture are illustrated and exemplified by some of the city's most impressive buildings.
PUB TOUR
Prague is famous for its ancient brewing traditions and its beers are amongst the best in the world. Czech beer has been brewed there since the 10th century. Recently the best known are Plzeň (Pilsner Urquell) and Budvar (Budweiser) but there are dozens of other really good beers (Velkopopovický kozel, Krusovice, Radegast, Gambrinus).
We visit the most famous Old fashioned pub U Fleků where unique dark FLEKOVSKÉ beer 14° will be served, pub U tygra – favourite spot of our former president Václav Havel, Novoměstský pivovar (brewery) and many other nice places. Delicious Czech kitchen will highlight this relaxing afternoon or evening (the choice of the exact place for the dinner depends on actual circumstances).
BOAT TRIP TOUR
Day or evening boat trip along charming Vltava river. Beautiful views of the Prague sights especially the panoramic night view of Prague Castle, Charles bridge and Vyšehrad Castle provides unforgettable memories from the stay in Prague.
Buffet dinner and life old fashioned music is the recommended option but upon request you can just book the cruise without catering or only with cake and coffee on board. Dinner is taken in the indoor restaurant. Afterwards guests can go up to the open deck.
PRAGUE BY NIGHT TOUR
There is an army of tourists squeezing in the Prague Castle area and on the Charles Bridge in summer the whole day. To have all the sights and beautiful views just for yourself one should get there later in the evening. In the dark one can really feel the mysterial spirit of the city. Do not miss the Prague Castle where the beautiful view of night Prague with more than hundred small towers can be enjoyed.
