TEREZÍN MEMORIAL
Terezín is situated ca 70 km north of Prague. In 1941–45 Terezín was changed into a detention camp for the Jewish inhabitants of all European countries. At present visitors can see the national cemetery, museum and monument to victims. In Terezín memorial one can feel the real terrifying Nazi period. You will see how the concentration camp worked and how the inhabitants lived there. Local guide leads the group through the Memorial buildings. The presentation is ended by a film projection.
KARLŠTEJN CASTLE
Karlštejn is a small village situated 25 km south-west of Prague close to the river Berounka. The most photogenic and most popular Czech castle is located there. Karlštejn was found by the sovereign that by a great deal influenced the Czech architecture - the emperor Charles IV. It was him who initiated the construction of the castle where the coronation jewels and relics of saints would be protected. It is open year-round except Mondays.
KUTNÁ HORA
Kutná Hora is located ca 80 km east of Prague. It used to be the most significant and richest Czech medieval town. In the 13th century rich silver reserves were discovered there and profits from local mines brought fame to the Czech royal crown. The mint established there coined Czech groschen and at present visitors to Kutná Hora can buy replicas of those coins.
One of the most significant architectural monuments is the Gothic Church of St. James decorated by Czech Baroque painters Brandl and Škréta. Another worth mentioning monument is the Cathedral of St. Barbara (1388–1565), patron saint of miners. The list of important sights would not be complete without the former mint called the Italian Court from the end of the 13th century and without some town houses, for example the so-called Stone House or Princes’ House, where alchemy was practised. It is no surprise that this unique gothic town is listed among the sights protected by UNESCO.

ČESKÝ KRUMLOV
Český Krumlov is one of the towns you will never forget. The town is situated approx. 160 km south of Prague and the driving distance must be considered when planning the trip. South Bohemia has several historical town reserves among which Český Krumlov is certainly the most remarkable. In no other town in Bohemia such a large castle complex has been preserved as a unique example of medieval architecture. Český Krumlov is listed as a UNESCO monument.

BOHEMIAN PARADISE - ČESKÝ RÁJ
Český ráj is a very attractive rocky area located ca 80 km north-east of Prague. Not just nature lovers will fall in love with this attractive nature setting. You can choose an easy 3 km walk through the rock town from Hrubá skála Castle to Sedmihorky. An unique sand stone cliffs formations are situated in beautiful wild forest valley. You can combine your visit with romantic Neo-Gothic chateau Sychrov from the middle of 19th century by the Rohans (French noble family).
KARLOVY VARY
Karlovy Vary is a very popular spa situated ca 120 km west of Prague. Charles the IV found this world famous Czech spa with beautiful colonnades and curative springs in the 14th century. It is built on a terraced ground, which gives the town a particularly attractive appearance. Healing spring waters, of which the Hot Spring Vřídlo is the most renowned, serve as a cure – alls for the treatment of disorders, gout, obesity or digestive diseases.
The typical souvenir are special Carlsbad wafers and the bitter-sweet Becher Liqueur made of herbs and known as the 13 th curative spring Becherovka /visit to the local distillery can be arranged upon request/.
KŘIVOKLÁT CASTLE
Křivoklát situated 40 km west of Prague is an early Gothic castle built in the late 13th century - one of the most interesting old castles. Visit a beautiful castle chapel, the Great Royal and Chivalric Halls with an exhibition of Gothic paintings and sculptures, the castle library containing over 52.000 bands, a rich museum and a painting gallery of the Fürstenberg, a famous castle prison with torture chambers and torture instruments, a monumental tower with a collection of hunting trophies.
The castle is situated in the middle of vast wood area, where Czech kings used to hunt. The tradition of hunting goes back to the middle ages. At present the whole area is listed as UNESCO monument.
KONOPIŠTĚ CASTLE
Benesov is a nice small provincial town situated c. 40 km south of Prague. Konopiště castle is located nearby in a beautiful park with a pond. It was originally a Gothic castle in French style; later moat and new palace were joined. A landscape park was established around 1900. Konopiště was owned by the Austrian successor to the throne Franz Ferdinand d’Este. Konopiště mansion is known for its valuable and extensive collection of historical weapons and hunting trophies. The visitors can see representative historical interiors, armoury, library, chapel and a rose garden and large landscape park.
HLUBOKÁ CASTLE AND ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE
České Budějovice is the centre of South Bohemia - a very attractive tourist region characterized by numerous fishponds, rich in artistic and historical monuments. The town (founded in 1265) is famous for Budweiser beer which is produced by the Budvar Brewery (established in 1894). The main square with arcades is the biggest square in the Czech Republic. It is lined with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque houses. A tower, designed in Gothic and Renaissance styles, dominates the town.
Hluboká chateau was built in the later half of the 13th century. Two centuries later, they gave the chateau the English-Tudor, Gothic-style face it wears today. It is hard to imagine more romantic chateau.
